| I have reached a point in which I realize one thing about myself: I am a fucking lazy bastard. Right now, it is 2:02 AM; I have created another useless "list of tasks" for the morning -- essentially another failure in all senses. However, although I have not once followed my day plans, I continue to write them, continue to scribble the day's work and seal it with my signature on the bottom -- another lie to myself.
On a different note, I hate how some things are so right yet so exasperating. For instance, I recently read in Yahoo's front-page headlines: success depends on the failure of others. And this leads me on the topic of competition. While I do, in fact, understand that competition leads to higher standards -- such as business, education, etc -- it ultimately leads to the ruining of people, mental breakdowns and the like. Even when one may be on the top, one feels the need to remain on top, thereby leading to the exertion of greater effort and diligence in one's endeavors. (Alright, that last sentence sounded a bit too positive for the point that I'm attempting to get across. Haha.) Perhaps I'm being illogical, for the human race simply cannot be viable without competition -- Aztecs have killed Aztecs, Mexicans have killed Mexicans, Chinese have killed Chinese, Americans have killed Americans, and so on. But for me, I'll keep on trying to ignore the competition the best my ability.
(All the AP English kids who read the last paragraph are going to censure me for my "lack of specific evidence." SO, PLEASE STFUGTFOKTHXBAI. I loves yous. :])
